Located in the stunning setting of Sa Coma, south of the Serra de Tramuntana, we found the CCA Andratx, Art Centre dedicated to the creation and exhibition of contemporary art. The Centre, founded in 2001 by Jacob and Patricia Asbaek force contributes to extol the area of Puerto Andratx and its surroundings as one of the most exclusive and coveted of Mallorca at international level.
Hosted on a building of 4,000 m2 in a minimalist style with clear references to traditional Majorcan architecture, the CCA can be considered as one of the largest centers of contemporary art at the European level as well as "space more challenging art of these moments in Spain ", offering a unique cultural experience at several levels. On the one hand, it offers an unrivaled selection of art able to meet all demands including painting, sculpture, installation, printmaking and photography by national and international artists.
On the other hand, it provides the residency program welcoming national and international artists performing individual exhibitions of the same in the CCA Gallery. Therefore, it offers 4 fully equipped 120m2 studios for free for a period of 3-6 weeks to all kinds of visual artists contributing to the development of their ideas and projects. Currently, they have gone through this program more than 500 artists from more than 20 countries.
The CA ESPAI is a space dedicated to artists residing in the Balearic Islands that aims to create a connection between contemporary artists and the Balearic international and cosmopolitan public of CCA. It is an initiative of international promotion of artistic and cultural life of Mallorca and the Balearic Islands.
If you visit the CCA you can be found until February 29, 2016 the first individual exhibition of the German artist Johannes Schramm (1965) titled Still Water, in the Kunsthalle II, formed by a variety of impressive water still lifes.
